Having worked in management roles in the classical music publishing industry in Australia for fifteen years, Peter Grimshaw created BTM Innovation in 1995 (or BTMI) to develop software programs for the music publishing industry based on his extensive experience. In 1998, he relocated from Sydney to Adelaide to focus on full-time development, and to create the HLMSW product that is now the international standard without peer. BTMI’s clients include many of the biggest names in classical music including Boosey & Hawkes, Music Sales, Universal Music Group, Peters Edition, Schott, Oxford University Press and Alfred Publishing.
In 2011 BTM Innovation partnered with Boosey & Hawkes, Music Sales , Universal Music Group and Peters Edition to create Zinfonia – a comprehensive web portal that links customers from around the world direct to one of the most extensive catalogues of performance materials available online.
BTM Innovation is currently working on a platform for the digital distribution of sheet music for performance.
